I used to be a telephone repairman, so this job is easy. I spliced some old CAT 3 IW onto my power supply and nailed them along the skirting board, door frame up, top, and down on the side where the doorbell is located (T-25). I had to use a 10 inch long brick drill bit to pass through the wall. This house is very old, built like a fortress. Then, after installing the circular mounting plate, I just need to punch the IW hole and connect it to the ring. I guess most houses will be much easier than mine. It was found that the new solar charger was completely incompatible with the old doorbell – a fact that was not fully disclosed description. Due to external wear and tear caused by weather on my old doorbell, I have decided to order model 2, which is advertised as an overall upgrade to the original model. It worked well during 30 day free return period, but soon stopped connecting to my WiFi system. I have made adjustments to my mesh network and attempted to reconnect multiple times, but were unsuccessful. In fact, the only time I successfully reconnected the new doorbell to WiFi was when I placed it within 10 feet of the router< I reinstalled my old doorbell and it did connect to WiFi. It is now working properly, although it may be nearing its lifespan. So I will be looking for a new wireless video doorbell. I don't know which brand I would buy, but it definitely won't be RING. At the same time, anyone who wants to buy a nearly brand new doorbell and solar charger worth $150 is a complete waste of money for me.

But we lack security at our main entrance. After years of learning about Ring doorbell cameras, I believe they will be the best investment, and that’s exactly what we lack. So far, the performance of the two devices I have purchased is flawless and has definitely met expectations! Super easy to install, very easy to adjust, the image quality is very clear, there seems to be no problem with the lighting, there is super clear quality both day and night, I can’t complain at all. I haven’t really utilized any storage space of these devices. I am not entirely sure if the device itself has a built-in storage system, or if it is just cloud storage on the application. If there are any changes to the device or any requests to include it in the comment, I will update this comment in the future. But so far, both devices have been running very well and definitely exceeded my expectations!! If someone is reading my review and unsure if they want to purchase the Ring Doorbell Camera, I would personally recommend it and give it a chance. You may be surprised! I will also recommend these devices to my friends and family< Additionally, I would like to point out that applications suitable for devices are not the easiest to understand and use. I'm sure that once I use the application more and learn it better, I will become easier to understand and use. But this is definitely a learning curve. And its GUI is quite messy. But this does not affect the quality of the equipment and devices. Just one side is not.

I hope to handle it in the Ring application on my phone< It has been proven that the device must be disconnected and the button on the back pressed< Then I found that my screwdriver couldn't be used with the device. Give Ring some trust – after quite a bit of searching, I found somewhere on their website that the device comes with a special tool that needs to be easily unscrewed – if I could find a tool that I didn't know was so important 2-1/2 years ago. At the same time, some emails received very strong warnings not to use my own screws (they are small screws – easily fall off). Other screws may collide with the battery and cause a fire. equipped the tool with additional screws. The tool ran well, pressing the button, and after I entered the new WiFi password, the application on my phone quickly corrected the situation, and everything was fine< What troubles me is that I am unable to fix it in the application, but I have not had any complaints for 2-1/2 years.
